Privacy notice
Who we are
This site is operated by Cox & Waite LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales (number OC456472), registered office 77a Endlesham Road, London SW12 8JY. We are specialist heating engineers serving London and the South East, and we are the data controller for the information described here.
If you have any question about this notice, email engineers@coxwaite.co.uk or call 020 7427 6089. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, and are not required to.
What we collect
Only what you choose to type into the enquiry form on our site: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), postcode, the service you select, and your message. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Why we use it
Solely to reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit, and quote for the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has contacted us about our services.
Who sees it
Just us. Form submissions are handled by our website host, Netlify, which stores them securely on our behalf under a written data processing agreement. Netlify is based in the United States, so your enquiry is transferred outside the UK under the International Data Transfer Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses. Loading our fonts from Google Fonts is also a transfer outside the UK. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else, and we will not add you to a mailing list. We use no cookies of any kind on this site.
Giving us your details
You are under no obligation to give us any of this. If you leave the required fields blank we cannot reply to your enquiry — that is the only consequence.
Automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not profile you.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Where we carry out work: records kept for 6 years, as required for tax and warranty purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and — because we rely on legitimate interests — object at any time to our using it, in which case we stop unless we have compelling grounds not to. Email engineers@coxwaite.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
